Key fugures of the infamous Norwegian black metal scene and bands like WARDRUNA, GORGOROTH, IMMORTAL, TAAKE and ELEKTRISK REGN are featured in Bulgarian photographer RAINA VLASKOVSKA’s new travelling exhibition. It will be next in the city of Ruse from 24 June to –12 July, followed by Kazanluk.

Bulgarian metallers ENGINEER OF DEATH and URBAN GREY (pictured) are set to play at this year’s ‘ROCKSTADT EXTREME FEST 2025’ in Romania.
From 30 July to 3 August, tens of thousands metal fans from all around Europe will be flocking to the heart of Transilvania for this five day massive event.

The reunited classic lineup of the metal/hardcore band BIOHAZARD has released its first new music in over a decade in the form of a new song called ‘Forsaken’. The track offers a first taste of the band’s upcoming album. It arrives with an energetic live video directed by guitarist/vocalist Billy.

On today’s edition of his ZOO radio show, ANDREY VLADOV will play some fantastic sounds of the likes of:

As previously reported, a brand new festival called ‘ProgVibe Balkans’ will be launched in Sofia this Autumn.
The first edition will present seven prog bands from the Balkan countries at the Pave club on 21 and 22 November.
ALKERA will headline the first night and COSMIN LUPU the second!

THE WHO frontman Roger Daltrey was knighted this past week by King Charles.
The band shared the following: It’s with the greatest pleasure we’re delighted to announce that Sir Roger Daltrey CBE has been recognised with a Knighthood in HM The King’s Birthday Honours.

German metal veterans HELLOWEEN will release their highly anticipated new album, ‘Giants & Monsters’, on August 29 via Reigning Phoenix Music. Leading the charge is the album’s first single ‘This Is Tokyo’, accompanied by a visual homage to Japan.

Douglas McCarthy, frontman of the industrial group NITZER EBB, has died at the age of 58.
A cause of death was not immediately shared; however McCarthy had been dealing with health issues in recent years due to the effects of cirrhosis.
McCarthy co-founded NITZER EBB in 1982.
