Manchester band Doves are to play no further gigs or festivals for the rest of 2006 as they concentrate on writing the follow-up to Some Cities. The band is currently working on new material at a farm outside Manchester.

Although nothing is yet confirmed, blabbermouth.net have reported strog rumours that Slayer are to headline a European version of the ‘Unholy Alliance Tour‘, which is about to hit America. Also being suggested for the bill are In Flames, Children Of Bodom, Lamb Of God and Thine Eyes Bleed.

The Black Crowes are to release an album called ‘The Lost Crowes’ in late August. It’s to feature unreleased songs recorded during sessions in 1993 and 1997. They’ve all been re-mixed for this double CD.
