Mitch Mitchell, the drummer for the Jimi Hendrix Experience, was discovered dead yesterday, November 12, in his room at the Benson Hotel in Portland. The 61-year-old British-born musician was the last surviving member of the groundbreaking trio. Mitch is believed to have died of natural causes. Rest in peace.

Down are writing songs for their next album, although no recording plans have yet been made. The band is also putting together a documentary based around their re-union in 2006 after a four-year break.
