German metallers SACRED STEEL have set a November 10 release date via Massacre Records for their sixth album. The band will enter the Spiderhouse studio in Berlin on July 10 with legendary producer Harris Johns (VOIVOD, HELLOWEEN, ST. VITUS, DEPRESSIVE AGE, SODOM, KREATOR) to begin recording the effort.

Atlanta’s MASTODON have officially completed work on their third album, “Blood Mountain“, due this fall via the band’s new label, Warner Bros. See the album’s cover artwork HERE “Blood Mountain” is being recorded with producer Matt Bayles (ISIS, HORSE THE BAND). The CD was mixed in New York by Rich Costey (AUDIOSLAVE, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE).

KING DIAMOND have finished recording the drums, bass and rhythm guitars for their upcoming album, tentatively due in early 2007. The follow-up to 2003’s “The Puppet Master” will contain 13 tracks, five of which were written by the band’s guitarist Andy La Rocque.
