Richard Ashcroft is to release a new single to coincide with his summer festival appearances.‘Words Just Get In The Way’ is out on July 10. It’s the third track to be lifted from the star’s third solo album, ‘Keys To The World’.

Veteran German thrashers Destruction are to headline the Irish Day Of Darkness Festival, which happens in Ballylinan, Co. Laois on July 7/8. 311, Jurassic 5, the Wailers are the first artists set for the second U.S. edition of U.K.’s Download Festival. The event will encompass two concerts: Aug. 20 with the aforementioned bands at the Tweeter Center outside Boston and Sept. 30 at Shoreline Amphitheatre near San Francisco, with a lineup to be announced.

Kasabian have titled their second album ‘Empire’– after the band’s private ‘Star Wars’-inspired buzzword.Scheduled for release on September 4, it was recorded after they returned from touring the US with Oasis in November last year. The Leicester five-piece spent four eventful weeks at Rockfield Studios in Wales putting the album together.
