Former Foo Fighters guitarist Pat Smear is to re-join the band for a two-month US tour, when the Foos will do an all-acoustic set. Also linking up with Dave Grohl are violinist Petra Haden, Wallflowers keyboardist Rami Jaffee and percussionist Drew Hester.

Queensryche are to have the classic ‘Operation: Mindcrime’ album re-issued by EMI on June. This will be available as both a two-CD set (with the original album, plus a live, 1990 recording from the Hammersmith Odeon in London), or in a deluxe set, with the aforementioned CDs and a DVD, with the ‘Video: Mindcrime’ set.

Allhelluja, the Danish/Italian project featuring Hatesphere frontman Jacob Bredahl and Stefano Longhi from Scarlet Records, will release their sophomore album, “Pain is the Game”, in September via Scarlet. Songtitles seto to appear on the CD include “Superhero Motherfucker Superman”, “The Devil, Me, Myself & I” and “Hell On Earth”.
