Scottish metalheads Mendeed are to headline Subverse 45, which happens in London at the Camden underworld on May 7. Also on the bill are Big Hand, A Day Called Desire, and The Red October. The fun starts at 2pm, running until 6pm.

Canada’s 3 Inches Of Blood have just finished recording demos with Slipknot‘s Joey Jordison. Now, it seems that the drummer will be producing the band’s new, as yet untitled album.

Vaux have finally signed a new deal. It’s with Outlook Music. Their new album, ‘Beyond Virtue, Beyond Vice’, is due out in August. The record was originally expected out last September on Atlantic.

Halifax are to release their new album on Drive-Thru at the end of May. It’s to be called ‘The Inevitability Of A Strange World’.

According to the official Queensryche website, Rhino Records has bought the band’s Q2K album from Atlantic Records for re-release. Limited edition signed copies will be made available soon and a free Q2K baseball cap will be included in the package.

Less Than Jake are to release a special edition of new album ‘In With The Out Crowd’. This will come with a bonus DVD (including studio footage) and a CD-ROM (with live, acoustic and re-mixed songs). This is to be packaged in a leather-bound book, with a signed poster.

They may not have an album title as yet, but Machine Head have confirmed some of the song titles for the next record. These include ‘Hale’, ‘Aesthetics Of Hate’, ‘The Beautiful Morning’ and ‘Now I Lay Thee Down’. No news yet on whe recording will start.
