Mongrel – the new British supergroup featuring Matt Helders (Arctic Monkeys), Andy Nicholson (ex-Arctic Monkeys), Drew McConnell (Babyshambles), Jon McClure (Reverend & The Makers), Joe Moskow (Reverend & The Makers), and rapper Lowkey – will release their debut album on October 22. The CD will be entitled “Better Than Heavy“.
Total Rock reports that Slash (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N’ Roses) was hired to compose the music for an upcoming Mexican movie. The film will be entitled “This Is Not a Movie“, and the director’s name is Olallo Rubio.
Pearl Jam bass player and one-time Mother Love Bone and Green River member Jeff Ament will release his first solo album on September 16. The effort will be entitled “Tone“, and shall be limited to just 3000 copies on CD.
