The German alternative rock quartet Liquido is currently working on its new studio album in Berlin. The still untitled effort by Tim Eiermann (vocals and guitar), Wolfgang Schroedl (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Stefan Schulte-Holthaus (bass) and Wolle Maier (drums) shall contain 15 new songs plus a re-recorded older track.

The Californian psychedelic prog/jazz/punk/etc. rockers The Mars Volta are currently recording their new, fourth full-length studio album, entitled “The Bedlam in Goliath”. The follow-up to “Amputechture” (2006) is being produced by lead guitarist Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and is scheduled for an autumn release via Gold Standard Laboratories/Universal Music Group.

Moonspell are about to record a new album… of old songs. The Portuguese gothic metallers will be re-visiting their early days with co-producer Tue Madsen for an as yet untitled record, due out in October.

Legendary hardcore crew Cro-Mags shall release a live DVD in August. Entitled “Final Quarrel: Live at CBGB’s 2001”, it shall offer a recording of the the band’s last ever show in its classic line-up.
