Celtic Frost had to cancel their planned appearance at the Rock Hard Festival in Germany on June 3. This is because frontman Thomas Gabriel Fischer was rushed to hospital, suffering from acute kidney problems. He’s expected to be fit for the band’s performance this weekend at Sweden Rock.

Former Faith No More/Bad Brains frontman Chuck Mosley has a new band: Vandals Against Illiteracy. They’re currently working on a debut album, which will be called ‘Will Rap Over Hard Rock For Food’.

Slayer are to release an EP on June 6. This will feature new song ‘Cult’. The band’s still untitled new album is due out at the end of July.
