Bad Religion frontman Greg Graffin is to have a new book published next month. Co-written with Professor Preston Jones from John Brown University, it’s called ‘Is Belief in God Good, Bad or Irrelevant?: A Professor And a Punk Rocker Discuss Science, Religion, Naturalism & Christianity’.

Face To Face are to release a posthumous DVD in October. It’s to be called ‘Shoot The Moon: The Essential DVD’. It will feature the Californian punks’ last ever show, at the House Of Blues in Hollywood, plus interview footage.

Aussie punks The Living End have signed a North American label deal with Adeline, which is partly owned by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong. As a result, he band’s new album, ‘State Of Emergency’, is to be issued in the US and Canada in July.

Former UFO guitarist Paul Chapman has teamed up with ex-MSG singer Robin McAuley and Doro drummer Johnny Dee in a new, as yet unnamed project. The trio have been recording new versions of classic UFO songs from Chapman’s time in the band.

Arkansas metalcore crew The Handshake Murders have signed to Goodfellow Records. The five-piece will release their first album for the label in January.

System Of A Down have announced that they’re to take a lengthy break, following their headlining stint on this year’s US Ozzfest tour. The band are not splitting up, but it may be a few years before we see them again.
