Before The Dawn and Amoral will support Amorphis on their Forging Europe Tour 2009. The 29-date run kicks off on October 7. The Bulgarian show is on October 30 at the Blue Box club in Sofia, promoted by us – radio Tangra Mega Rock.

BEFORE THE DAWNВ was conceived and born in the summer heat in 1999, as solo project of Tuomas Saukkonen, destined to remain a “single parent” of his brainchild also in times to come. As a multi-talented and multi-faceted artist he rather prefers to work all by himself in order to achieve his clear vision for his band and his music; with the assistance of session musicians for live performances or studio recordings. This also explains the long list of former band members in the band’s history.В The 5th albumВ ‘Soundscape of Silence’ came out in October 2008! Current line up:

After three accomplished technical death metal albums, 2004’s ‘Wound Creations’, 2005’s ‘Decrowning’ and 2007’s ‘Reptile Ride’ and three extensive European tours, Amoral had to endure the loss of their vocalist Niko KalliojГ¤rvi, who left the band due to his diminished motivation which may orВ may not have had something to do with the musical direction the band was moving to. The more melodic side of Amoral’s songwriting reared its head already on ‘Reptile Ride’ in songs like ‘Snake Skin Saddle’ and ‘Mute’, but it is only now, on their 4th outing ‘Show Your Colors’, released recently via SpinefarmВ that the curveballs have become the main course.
