BEASTIE BOYS members Ad-Rock and Mike D are amongst a host of guest stars in the video for YOKO ONO‘s new single, ‘Bad Dancer’.
They collaborated with hers Plastic Ono Band on the song, mixing the track, which features on Ono’s latest album, ‘Take Me To The Land Of Hell’.
Questlove, Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori of Cibo Matto, Deerhoof’s Greg Saunier, singer Roberta Flack and US radio personality Ira Glass also feature in the video, showing off their dancemoves. I
t was filmed in Brooklyn, New York, and directed by Ben Dickinson.
Speaking about the video to Rolling Stone, Ono said:
“These are creative people and they have unique movements. They don’t move like other people do.” She added: “‘Bad Dancer’ is a comedy, really, and I wanted this to be fun, not too serious.”
‘Take Me To The Land Of Hell’ came out four years after her previous studio album ‘Between My Head And The Sky’, and was recorded in New York with her son Sean Lennon and drummer Yuka Honda.
