BILLY IDOL has announced plans to release his first new album of original material in almost a decade.
Due this October and produced by Trevor Horn, the project will be Idol’s first album since 2006’s ‘Happy Holidays’ Christmas record, and his first of original material since 2005’s “Devil’s Playground.
The new album is expected to be released around the same time as Idol publishes his self-written memoir, ‘Dancing With Myself’, on October 7.
The autobiography delivers a brutally honest account of Idol’s journey to fame – from his early days as frontman of the pioneering UK punk band Generation X to his international solo career.
Idol is currently playing shows on tour across Europe.
