A new Bob Dylan-themed movie, enetitled “I’m Not There”, will premiere at the 64th Venice Film Festival, set to take place on August 29 – September 8.
The film features a star actor crew, a.o. Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett, Richard Gere, Heath Ledger and Julianne Moore.
Naturally, “I’m Not There” will be acompanied by a same-titled soundtrack, featuring plenty of original Dylan tunes, as well as covers by some of the singer’s hits, a.o. Sonic Youth‘s version of “I’m Not There”, The Hold Steady doing “Can You Please Crawl Through Your Window”, and “All Along the Watchtower” performed by a project called The Million Dollar Bashers andВ fronted by Pearl Jam vocalist Eddie Vedder.
