CHILI PEPPERS Make Live Debut With New Guitarist

Red Hot Chili Peppers played their first show with new guitarist Josh Klinghoffer at a special gala to honour Neil Young.

The band performed the Young song ‘A Man Needs A Maid’ at the charity event, MusiCares Person Of The Year, which happened on January 29.

This featured a stellar list of participants, including John Mellencamp, Stephen Stills, Jackson Browne, plus an all-star jam on the Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young classic ‘Helpless’, featuring Sir Elton John, Leon Russell, T Bone Burnett, Neko Case and Sheryl Crow.

There was also an apparently stirring rendition of ‘Human Highway’ from Crosby, Stills & Nash.

Tickets for the event cost $1,250 per plate. All proceeds did go to Musicians In Need.
