Damon Albarn’s New Band Makes Live Debut

Damon Albarn’s new band made their live debut last night at a surprise gig in a Devon pub.

The group – consisting of Albarn, Clash bassist Paul Simonon, Verve guitarist Simon Tong and Fela Kuti drummer Tony Allen – took to the stage at the Pig’s Nose in East Prawle in front of 150 people to warm up for their BBC Proms show next week.

However, Albarn has revealed the band are not called The Good, The Bad And The Queen, as previously believed.

He tells the BBC, “Everybody seems to think we’re called The Good, The Bad and The Queen. We’re not. That’s the title of our album. The band doesn’t have a name.”
