Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl made a special appearance last Saturday(August 1) in his birth town after having a street named after him.
A huge crowd turned out to see the singer presented with a key to the city of Warren, in Ohio and have the city’s Market Alley renamed after the former Nirvana sticksman.
“When I was a kid, I used to love to come here,” Grohl told the crowd. “This is one of my favorite places in the world.”
He also introduced his parents to his fans before he backed Love Turns Hate for two songs on the drums.
Grohl then treated the crowd to three Foo Fighters songs – ‘Times Like These’, ‘My Hero’ and ‘Everlong‘.
The singer and his parents lived in the city during his birth and his early years before he moved to Alexandria, in Virginia.
