A drunken fan bit off part of a security guard’s ear at an American hard rock band’s concert in Sweden, authorities said.
The 40-year-old man was arrested by police on suspicion of aggravated assault during Friday night’s concert by W.A.S.P. at the Conventum arena in Orebro in central Sweden, the Swedish news agency TT/The Local reported.
The man was extremely drunk when he bit the guard so hard that part of his ear came off, the local Nerikes Allehanda newspaper reported.
Police put the attacker in jail until he sobered up, and formally charged him after later questioning.
