Former BLACK FLAG vocalist Henry Rollins has issued a statement clarifying the nature of his recently announced studio project with former MINOR THREAT vocalist and longtime friend Ian MacKaye.
In a post on his website, Rollins explained that when he and MacKaye went into the studio, it was not to record new music together, but to mix a 1979 demo that had been recorded by a “legendary punk band.”
Rollins did not name the band in question, but noted that he had gotten permission from one of its members to release the demo – which he plans to do in the form of a four-song, 12-inch record “as soon as possible.”
