Canadian rocker J.D. Fortune will once again share the stage with Aussie rockers INXS.
And with the whole world watching.
Global’s ET Canada reported, in a world exclusive, on Wednesday night, that INXS’ publicist had confirmed that Fortune will “do a special guest appearance” during the band’s Feb. 24 sold-out show at the Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
Fortune, who won the INXS frontman spot during the reality TV show Rockstar: INXS in 2005, talked about his split from the group last year under awkward circumstances.
In a Canadian print exclusive last March, Fortune told QMI Agency, that he said goodbye to his former bandmates in 2007 at an airport thinking there were still two more legs of the INXS tour to complete.
Now, it appears, an INXS/Fortune reunion – possibly a brief one given “the special appearance” designation – is just two weeks away in Vancouver.
INXS is said to be recording an album in memory of original singer Michael Hutchence, who died in 1997, featuring an all-star lineup including The Killers’ Brandon Flowers and Matchbox 20’s
