IRON MAIDEN’s Trooper beer has has sold 3.5 million pints without its UK brewer, Robinsons, spending a penny on marketing.
The Publican’s Morning Advertiser reports Robinsons director of marketing David Bremner revealed the news at a beer summit Wednesday.
Last October, Trooper beer sales were reported to be at the 2 million pint mark, which means the product has moved another 1.5 million pints in the past 5 months.
Launched in the UK in the spring of 2013, the beverage is named after the classic IRON MAIDEN song of the same name. Trooper was personally designed and developed as a top quality Premium British Beer by Iron Maiden vocalist and real ale enthusiast Bruce Dickinson with Robinsons’ Head Brewer Martyn Weeks.
