Actress and singer Juliette Lewis has been injured in a hit-and-run crash in California, police have said.
Sergeant Sean Kelley said the star was in the back of a car when a driver went through a red light and smashed into Lewis’s vehicle in Burbank.
Lewis, 37, complained of pain in her head, back and neck and was taken to hospital and later discharged.
Her spokesman said the screen star was a “bit banged-up and sore but otherwise thankfully OK“.
Officers are looking for the driver and said he would be arrested on suspicion of hit and run.
The Natural Born Killers actress was on her way home from an event where she had been promoting her forthcoming movie Conviction.
As well as acting, Lewis sings in the band The New Romantiques.
In 1991 she was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Cape Fear.
