Marilyn Manson drummer and keyboardist, Chris Vrenna, has left the band to spend more time working on his band Tweaker, scoring music for films and video games, DJing and producing other artists.
“I’m incredibly proud of the work I did with Manson and look forward to the release of [the band’s next album] вЂBorn Villain,’” Vrenna said in a statement. “I wish my brothers well, but with the recording largely completed I felt it was time to return to other facets of my career.”
Before joining Marilyn Manson in 2004, Vrenna was a full-time member of Nine Inch Nails. He has produced songs or albums for Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Smashing Pumpkins, Guns N’ Roses and Evanescence. Vrenna has also remixed songs for a wide range of artists, including U2, Nelly Furtado, Rammstein and Slipknot.
Vrenna formed the group Tweaker, in the late 1990s and the band has released two albums, 2001′s вЂThe Attraction to All Things Uncertain’ and 2004′s ’2 a.m. Wakeup Call.’
