Shock rocker Marilyn Manson will produce a musical film version of classic fairy tale Cinderella with a “goth” twist, according to the UK Press Association.
The “all-singing” film will reportedly star Harry Potter moppet Emma Watson, while the full nature of Manson’s involvement as producer is still up in the air. However, one thing’s for sure: the dark, gothic version of the pauper-turned-princess story should be chock full of Manson-inspired, or perhaps even Manson-written, songs and enough black mascara to choke a horse.
The film will be Watson’s first outside of the Harry Potter chronicles.
The start date of preproduction for Manson’s ‘Cinderella’ has not yet been announced.
