On December 5 METALLICA will release their first ever music video retrospective.
The DVD collection, entitled “Metallica: The Videos 1989-2004” will include all of the band’s 21 music videos plus bonus features. The years covered begin with the band’s breakthrough …And Justice For All (the album featured the band’s very first music video for “One”) and conclude with their last released album to date, St. Anger.
The list of directors included in the collection range from Wayne Isham to Anton Corbijn, Jonas Akerlund, Samuel Bayer and The Malloys.
The DVD also includes the 1989 release of the home video 2 of One (previously only available on VHS), “Mama Said,” which never aired in North America, the 11- minute “Theatrical Version” of “The Unforgiven” and the film trailer for the documentary Some Kind Of Monster. Additionally, all audio on the DVD has been re-mixed in 5.1 surround sound.
The band is currently at their Northern California home-base writing material for their upcoming Warner Bros. release due in 2007.
