The estate of late DEEP PURPLE icon JON LORD have released a previously unheard track from the JON LORD BLUES PROJECT’s 2011 live album – hear As Tears Go Passing By below.
It was recorded at Rottweill, Germany in May 2011 during their brief tour of the country, on which he was accompanied by Maggie Bell, Zoot Money, Miller Anderson, Colin Hodgkinson and Pete York.
His management explain on his official website:
“JON LORD BLUES PROJECT fulfilled Jon’s desire to branch out from his orchestral world and focus on the Hammond organ through a series of club gigs across Central Europe.”
In September LORD’s friends and family launched a website featuring 11 tracks from an unreleased chamber orchestra concert recorded in 2010 and entitled The Trondheim Experiment.
