PENTAGRAM singer Bobby Liebling has plead guilty to ‘Abuse and Neglect of a Vulnerable Adult Custodian,’ according to court documents uploaded on the Maryland Judiciary web site. This past spring, the doom metal legends had to perform a handful of dates sans their frontman after he was arrested for one count of assault on a vulnerable adult.
The film introduced a new generation of music fans to the band, raising them from virtual obscurity to prominence. Liebling is shown dealing with his various addictions while living in his mother’s basement, struggling to get his life together and ultimately reforming PENTAGRAM to much acclaim.
“Bobby called on April 17 saying he had been admitted to the hospital. He called again on April 19, this time after being transferred to a Maryland detention facility. He’s now awaiting a preliminary hearing at which time it will be determined if a follow-up on any alleged charges are necessary. An update will be published when information is available. The band will be fulfilling all currently booked appearances with 36-year mainstay guitarist Victor Griffin performing all vocals.”
