Seattle’s progressive metal veterans Queensryche are going to release a CD built entirely of cover versions on November 13 via Rhino Entertainment.
Entitled “Take Cover”, the album is going to contain not only renditions the quintet has already done, like the magnificent variation of “Scarborough Fair” (turned into a total hit by Simon & Garfunkel some 4 decades ago), but mainly new versions, a.o. “Welcome to the Machine” by Pink Floyd, “Bullet the Blue Sky” by U2, “Synchronicity II” by The Police, “Red Rain” by Peter Gabriel, “Innuendo” by Queen, “Heaven on Their Minds” from Andrew Lloyd Weber’s “Jesus Christ Superstar”, and “For What It’s Worth” by Buffalo Springfield.
