The Raconteurs have been forced to change their name in Australia.
Jack White‘s new band will be known as The Saboteurs down under to avoid conflict with a jazz band of the same name.
A statement to the Australian press reads: “The Raconteurs name was already taken by a jazz band, to make things easier, and in the spirit of espionage and subversion, we have decided to become The Saboteurs in Australia only.”
A UK spokesperson for the band is unavailable to confirm the change.
The band’s debut album, ‘Broken Boy Soldiers’, is out on May 15.
