Ripper Replaced Doogie in Yngwie Malmsteen’s Band

After six and a half years of singing in Yngwie Malmsteen‘s band, vocalist Doogie White has left the guitar virtuoso. His replacement is Mr. Tim “Ripper” Owens of Judas Priest and Iced Earth fame himself.

This is not the first time Ripper and Yngwie are working together. Both have already collaborated on a cover of Ozzy Osbourne’s “Mr. Crowley”, which appeared on the “Flying High Again: The World’s Greatest Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne” (2006). You may listen to the song below.

As for Malmsteen’s long-awaited new album, it is scheduled to surface in July.
