The three-disc unrated collector’s edition DVD of Rob Zombie‘s hit 2007 remake of the 1978 horror classic “Halloween” hits stores in the USA today, October 7. In addition to the movie (view cover below), the set contains an all-new four-and-a-half-hour documentary about the making of the film.
John Carpenter filmed his 1978 indie chiller on a $325,000 budget. The film made roughly $47 million at the domestic box office, and still ranks among the most impressive budget-to-box office ratios in history. Zombie’s studio-approved “Halloween” cost about $20 million. So far it has grossed an estimated $31 million.
