Trent Reznor and Saul Williams have revealed information about their free downloading experiment. As we informed you some time ago, Williams released his Reznor-produced solo album “The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust” via as a download version on niggytardust.com, where fans could either download it for free or pay $5 for the record.
To date, the album has sold 28,322 copies of 154,449 people who downloaded it, so 18% have chosen to pay. In other words, Saul and Trent have gained $141,610. Compare this to Saul’s last label-released album which sold 33,000 copies…
