SHARON OSBOURNE Is ‘Seriously Thinking’ About Running To Become Mayor Of Birmingham

NME is reporting that Sharon Osbourne has revealed that she is “seriously thinking” about running to become the Mayor of Birmingham.

The music manager, television personality, and widow of heavy metal icon Ozzy Osbourne made the comments while on the red carpet for this year’s Grammy Awards.

Speaking briefly to Billboard, Sharon was told by host Leila Cobo that she was getting praise for how well she spoke at one of the Grammy-related events ahead of Sunday night’s ceremony (February 1).

In response, Sharon thanked the host for her compliment and suggested that the skill may come in handy soon as she is “seriously thinking about running for mayor of Birmingham.”

Due to the quick pace of the interview, there was little time for Sharon to expand on why she wanted to run, or how far along she was into looking at the process.

Meanwhile, Sharon took to social media to reflect on the Grammys tribute to Ozzy, which featured Post Malone, along with Slash and Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers), and producer Andrew Watt performing BLACK SABBATH’s ‘War Pigs.’

Says Sharon: “Last night was bigger than a performance. It was a moment carved into musical history. Reminding everyone that rock isn’t nostalgia – it’s alive, evolving, and still the heartbeat of music. Post you were pure magic, a shapeshifter with a voice that can bend into any genre. Slash, Duff, Andrew, Chad you are the master of your craft and complete icons. Truly from the bottom of my heart, thank you ❤️ Ozzy was definitely in the building.” ✌️ 🙏🤘

Entertainment Tonight shared video of the performance, which can be viewed below:
