Sinead O’Connor has revealed the details of her forthcoming album. It shall be a double CD entitled “Theology”, due out on June 26. It shall feature 8 original songs, as well as several cover versions, a.o. Curtis Mayfield’s “We People Who Are Darker Than Blue”, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s “I Don’t Know How to Love” from the musical “Jesus Christ Superstar”, and the reggae spiritual “Rivers of Babylon”.
“Theology” was recorded in two separate sessions in Dublin and London. Logically, the first disc features the “Dublin Sessions”, which are said to be minimal and acoustic, while CD 2, “London Sessions”, features a full band including drums, bass, guitar, piano, harp, violins, celli, French horn, flute, backing vocals and percussion.
