Former Nightwish frontwoman Tarja Turunen has revealed the cover artwork for her upcoming solo album, “My Winter Storm”. You can see it in the left.
Due in Europe on November 19 via Universal Music, the CD was produced by Daniel Presley (a.o. Faith No More, The Breeders).
As for the music, it was recorded in a studio-line up consisting of bassist Doug Wimbish (Living Colour), guitarist Alex Scholpp (Farmer Boys), drummer Earl Harvin (Seal, Pet Shop Boys), and keyboarder Torsten Stenzel (Moby, Nelly Furtado, Tina Turner).
Regarding Tarja’s live line-up, it was revealed some three weeks ago: Except for Doug and Alex, it will also feature Tarja’s brother Toni Turunen (vocals, guitars, electronic drums and keyboards), drummer Mike Terrana (Axel Rudi Pell, ex-Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Rage, Metalium), keyboarder Maria Ilmoniemi and cellists Max Lilja (ex-Apocalyptica) and Markus Hohti.
