The long awaited album of Iggy Pop and The Stogges, “The Weirdness” comes out on March 20, 2007.
Рўhe first album of the band, which predicted the punk and helped the rock n’ roll to become dangerous, will come out 34 years after their last record, “Raw Power”.
In “The Weirdness” will play three of the four original members of the band – Iggy Pop, guitarist Ron Asheton and drummer Scott Asheton, plus bassist Mike Watt and saxophone player Steve MacKay.
The Stooges wrote more than 30 songs in a villa in Florida, then rehearsed it in Michigan and entered a studio in Chicago with the producer Steve Albini who worked with Nirvana and Pixies. The album was mastered in the legendary Abbey Road studio.
