The Rolling Stones are set to change the location of their forthcoming Serbian concert in order to avoid traumatizing hundreds of horses. The band was scheduled to play at Belgrade’s Hipodrome on July 14, but animal protection society ORCA objected to the choice of location, fearing the 300 horses housed in nearby stables would suffer trauma from the noise. Now it’s expected the show to be moved to the city’s Usce Park, but nothing’s been officially confirmed yet.
This will be the band’s first performance in Serbia since 1977. In 2003 they scrapped a show after the assassination of prime minister Zoran Djindjic, and last year’s planned performance was cancelled when Keith Richards hurt his head after falling out of a coconut tree…
