TO-MERA Part Ways With Drummer, Announce Replacement

TO-MERA, the new U.K.-based dark progressive metal band formed by former WITHOUT FACE vocalist Julie Kiss and bassist Lee Barrett (ex-EXTREME NOISE TERROR, DISGUST, MUSSOLINI HEADKICK), has parted ways with drummer Akos Pirisi.

“The problems to do with his geographical circumstances ( i.e. him living in Hungary) meant that while we managed on the wrting and recording front, concerts and regular rehearsals were impossible. It’s not a decision we have come to lightly, but it was agreed that it was the only way forward if we were to give a proper commitment to the future of the band. We sincerely wish Akos all the very best.

“We now welcome Paul Westwood on the drums. Paul is based in London and has played in many bands before, most notably FOE, and has trained in classical percussion since childhood (he was the principal percussionist for the National Youth Orchestra and graduated from the Guildhall School of Music), as well as being a huge fan of metal, folk and general weirdness.”
