BLACK SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi has lent one of his guitars to the National Museum of Ireland in Dublin for a new exhibition called “RockChic: The Life and Times of the Electric Guitar 1931-2006”.
The guitar on loan from Iommi is one of his black limited-edition Gibson Custom Shop SGs, as played on BLACK SABBATH tours and recordings since 2001.
The exhibition will feature more than 100 legendary, vintage, rare and customized guitars, including instruments played by Jimi Hendrix, Phil Lynott, Rory Gallagher, Keith Richards, Carlos Santana and Van Morrison.
Some of the guitars will be sold on a charity auction after the exhibition is complete in London in the beginning of next year.
