Danish band Volbeat announced that Mercyful Fate guitarist Hank Shermann will stand in for recently departed guitarist Thomas Bredahl for the upcoming Gigantour with Megadeth, Motörhead and Lacuna Coil in the U.S. commencing in January 2012.
Frontman Michael Poulsen had the following comments on recruiting Hank Shermann:
“It’s a true honor getting to work with Hank, whose guitar work has inspired all three band members long before Volbeat was formed. I’m very thankful that Hank has the time to join us on Gigantour in his busy schedule.”
