Swedish metallers EvergreyВ have officially parted ways with bassist Fredrik Larsson – only nine months after he was recruited as the replacement for Michael Hakansson, who, on the other hand, left in order to join HammerFall. Apart from that, Evergrey are working on the follow-up to 2006’s “Monday Morning Apocalypse”, due later in the year.

Four demo tracks from Voivod’s latest album, “Katorz” (2006), have been posted online at VoivodFan.com. The songs are “Mr. Clean”, “The Getaway”, “Red My Mind” and “After All”. The Canadian avantgardists will enter the studio sometime in the autumn to begin recording their next full-length effort.

The quartet’s line-up is completed by the singer’s brother Markus Cherone, Joe Pessia of Dramagods, and Dana Spellman. US technical industrial metallers Daath are to have their song “Dead on the Dance Floor” remixed by Danny Lohner, known for his work with Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson and A Perfect Circle. The track comes off the sextet’s new album “The Hinderers”, which was released via Roadrunner Records in the end of March.
