Bloc Party have chosen a producer for their upcoming second album.Tentatively titled ‘Urbanite Relaxation’, the follow up to the critically acclaimed ‘Silent Alarm’, will be produced by former Compulsion guitarist now successful producer Jacknife Lee.

Mastodon have posted their version of Metallica’s вЂOrion’ at www.myspace.com/mastodon. This is the finished version, as compared to what is said to be the unmastered cut that appeared on the recent вЂRemastered’ album, the 20th anniversary tribute to the вЂMaster Of Puppets’ record, put together by Kerrang! magazine.

Dallas band Fair To Midland have signed to Serjical Strike, the label run by Serj Tankian of System Of A Down. Tankian himself is expected to produce the band’s new album.

Motorhead, Saliva, P.O.D. and Shadows Fall all have tracks featured on the album ‘WWE: Wreckless Intent’. Released by Columbia in America at the end of May, this is a compilation of intro themes, used by WWE superstars. Also included are songs from Brand New Sin, Zebrahead, Killswitch Engage and Theory Of A Deadman.
