Former UFO guitarist Paul Chapman has teamed up with ex-MSG singer Robin McAuley and Doro drummer Johnny Dee in a new, as yet unnamed project. The trio have been recording new versions of classic UFO songs from Chapman’s time in the band.

German metalcore crew Heaven Shall Burn are currently finishing up their new, as yet untitled album. Expect a release later in the year.

The bill for this year’s Uxfest has now been expanded. Arkansas metalcore crew The Handshake Murders have signed to Goodfellow Records. The five-piece will release their first album for the label in January.

System Of A Down have announced that they’re to take a lengthy break, following their headlining stint on this year’s US Ozzfest tour. The band are not splitting up, but it may be a few years before we see them again.
