After leaving Soilwork some three years ago, guitarist Peter Wichers has now rejoined the ranks of the Swedish extreme metallers. He’s taking over from Daniel Antonsson, who replaced him in 2006.

After reuniting with their original vocalist Jonny Santos a month ago, California’s Spineshank have already started working on songs for their next full-length album. Two new solo tracks from Scott Weiland, entitled “Missing Cleveland” and “Paralysis“, can be heard online. They are available for streaming respectively here and here. Both cuts will appear on the singer’s sophomore solo album, “Happy in Galoshes” (view cover in the left), scheduled for release on November 25 via the artist’s label Softdrive Records.

Ohio-based masked metallers Mushroomhead will release their second official DVD, simply entitled “Volume 2“, on October 28. The follow-up to “Volume 1” (2005) features two-and-a-half hours of videos, live footage and more stuff.
