The Bees have confirmed a series of summer shows to roadtest new material.The band are currently recording their third album ‘Octopus’ on their native Isle Of Wight, but will venture out of the studio to test out songs, including a Highlands And Islands tour which takes place exclusively in Scotland during August.

Apart from looking for a new rhythm section, American Head Charge are putting together a DVD, which has the title of ‘Can’t Stop The Machine’. They’re also working on songs for their next album.

Pitchshifter, The Almighty, 100 Reasons, Engerica, The Answer, Losing Sun, Rattlesnake Remedy, Hells Bells and Sweet Black Angels play the 20th annual Bulldog Bash. This happens from August 10-13 at Shakespeare County Raceway, Long Marston, near Stratford-On-Avon, Warwickshire.

Napalm Death are about to start recording a new album. Expected to be called ‘Smear Campaign’, this should be released later in the year by Century Media.

Misery Signals are to release their new album through Ferret in September. Called ‘Mirrors’, it’s being produced by Ben Scheigel.

Swedish black metallers Necrophobic will hold a release party on Saturday, May 20, in Stockholm, Sweden at TantogГҐrden for their upcoming album, Hrimthursum which is due out through Regain Records on May 22nd.

Canadians Three Days Grace are to release their new album next month. Called ‘One-X’, it’ their second record.

Rise To Addiction, featuring former Blaze members Rob Naylor (bass), John Slater (guitars) and Steve Wray (guitars), have posted their Second Video Diary on their website. Рўhe band recently finished tracking their as-yet-untitled debut with producer Andy Sneap (Nevermore, Arch Enemy, Blaze). Mixing is expected to be done in July.

Congratulations to Pink Floyd. Their 1973 album ‘The Dark Side Of The Moon’ has now clocked up an astonishing 1500 weeks on the ‘Billboard’ charts in America. No other record comes even close to matching that achievement.
