DEFTONES have shared a new song, ‘Milk of the Madonna’ – listen to it below.
The eruptive track seethes with a wall of down-tuned riff energy and Chino Moreno’s signature emotive wails that take on a religious fervor in the chorus: “Holy ghost/ I’m on fire/ Holy spirit/ I’m on fire.”
The track roars by with only a brief reflective pause in the middle to showcase quietly strummed guitars before exploding back into waves of crushing power chords.
‘Milk of the Madonna’ is the second advance track from DEFTONES’ highly anticipated 10th studio album, Private Music, set for release on August 22nd. It follows ‘My Mind is a Mountain,’ which the band dropped last month.
